My name is Akshara Weave and I am a professional musician, recording artist and music producer specializing in the exploration of sacred sound and music.
I was initiated as a Reiki Master in 1999, and have been encoding reiki into music utilizing principles of sound healing and sacred geometry for over a decade now. Over the last several years my passion for kirtan, sanskrit and advaita have become an important part of my musical work, and my current projects are expressing this.
Much of my musical production focuses on polyphonic depth and harmonic resonance in both composition and production technique, combining modern synthesis and sampling techniques with organic instrumentation and vocals in an effort to reach that true “21st Century” soundscape. I also have a passion for ancient world temperaments, odd meter rhythms and ambient trance dance, and am endeavoring to bring all of these passions and my experience together through my current musical works, with the hope of expanding the boundaries of sound and music into inspiring and innovative realms.
My goal and intent with this website is to create a vehicle for sharing and engaging through this creative process with you.
